Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tour and Swamp Buggy

Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tour and Swamp Buggy

Airboat Tour

Our Everglades airboat tour lasts 30-35 minutes and all ages are welcome. Our airboat dock is handicap accessible, but wheelchairs can’t be loaded onto the airboat. If anyone in your party is using a wheelchair, please be sure they can move from the wheelchair onto the airboat.

Feel the expansive beauty of the unique Everglades grasslands as you glide along the water in a Wooten’s airboat! Our Everglades airboat tour gives you the best experience:

  • Ride in safety with experienced captains who know how to show you a good time
  • Escape into 259 acres of private grasslands, away from the traffic of other airboats
  • Learn about animals, plants, and area history from our knowledgeable captains
  • Stay together in the same airboat even if you have more than 6 in your party
  • See wild alligators, birds, and other animals–if Mother Nature is willing!

Swamp Buggy

A swamp buggy has powerful tractor tires and an open, elevated platform with seating for up to 20 people. It travels over dry land and muddy marshes, giving you a great vantage point to see plants and animals an airboat can’t reach. Wooten’s Swamp Buggy Tour is perfect for:

  • Slowing down and taking in the beautiful scenery of a lush cypress forest
  • Spotting wild alligators, birds, deer, or bears–if Mother Nature is willing!
  • Seeing a Native American campsite and burial ground
  • Learning about the Everglades from your experienced tour guide
  • Catching a glimpse of nesting bald eagles–if you’re lucky!
  • Finding wild manatees in Manatee Pond (more likely in November-April)

When you come all the way to the Everglades, you want to see alligators and other animals, right? Of course!

There’s a good chance you’ll see alligators and other wild animals on our airboat and swamp buggy tours, but Mother Nature makes no guarantees. That’s where our Animal Sanctuary & Alligator Park comes in! It’s home to animals like:

  • Two tigers
  • Two lions
  • Otters
  • Turtles
  • Crocodiles
  • Over 100 alligators, from babies to giants

Alligators. They’re exciting! They’re mysterious! They’re dangerous! They’re an Everglades must-see!

There’s no better way to get up-close and personal with alligators than to watch one of our professional alligator handlers put on a live alligator show right in front of you. Our handlers will:

  • Show you the power and beauty of these magnificent creatures
  • Share their expert knowledge of alligators with you
  • Entertain you with their years of skill
  • Let you hold and hug your own alligator!
